Artist Profile: John Griffin Morrissey

    Originally from Brooklyn, and convinced the City was the best possible teacher, John spurned art school for "an education of the streets."

     "All art is valid," he says, "in that it is a response to repression--including self-suppression."

    Besides having his work shown frequently at NYC’s Spring Studio, John has been a motorcycle mechanic, photo editor, and punk rock drummer.
